Terms of Service

By using Sharetext ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users — anonymous and registered.

Sharetext provides end-to-end encrypted text and code sharing. Content is encrypted in your browser before transmission. We do not have access to your content. The Service is provided free of charge for personal and commercial use.

You agree not to use Sharetext to:

• Share illegal content, including CSAM or content that violates applicable laws
• Distribute malware, phishing links, or other malicious content
• Harass, threaten, or harm other individuals
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Service's security features
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Use the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable personal or commercial use

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide a valid email address. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without authorization.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without notice.

Because content is encrypted, we cannot review it. You retain full ownership of any content you create. By using the Service, you warrant that your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

Reported shares that appear to violate these Terms may be deleted by disabling the share token, without the ability to review the underlying content.

The Sharetext name, logo, and software are the property of Sharetext and may not be used without written permission. The underlying open-source components retain their respective licenses.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, data retention, or fitness for any particular purpose. Use the Service at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sharetext shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be posted on this page.

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted.
